Eating: The Water House Project
Friends, relatives and my previous school dinner ladies can attest to one particular fact about me: I do not like fish. From cowering away from the prawn cocktails served at family meals to gagging while walking past a fish mongers, I thought my dreams to be a high-class fish-eater were dead and buried. That was until I went for a meal at the canal-side restaurant, The Water House Project. Filled with an addictive ambience and orchestra-style playlists, I felt instantly at ease within the high ceilings and full-length windows encompassing the restaurant. And while there were predominantly fish-only dishes on the menu — I found myself clearing every single course. Pairing carefully sautéed scallops and perfectly prepared tuna with a vast array of selected wines, the dining experience was like none I had ever had — and I can finally cross “make myself love fish” off my bucket list with ease.

For all my fellow eczema sufferers out there who have searched long and hard for the perfect scented creams that don’t cause a flare up: look no further. Having recently been introduced to Nursem’s new caring range, I have finally bid my lifeless Sanex bottles adieu — and haven’t looked back since. Going: Cazoo Derby Ladies Day
Okay, I’m technically breaking the rules on this one, as I am yet to actually attend it — but I cannot contain my excitement for this week’s Cazoo Derby Ladies Day. With my mum and my favourite pair of heels coming along with me, we will be enjoying a day of fashion, drinking, eating and, of course, racing right in the heart of Epsom. And, with this year’s event hosted by drag superstar Cherry Valentine, it feels all the more special. Catching up with Cherry, she explained, “I am so excited to be a judge at The Cazoo Derby Style Awards this year. The Derby is known for its fabulous fashion and, with drag being the ultimate form of self-expression, I want to encourage this year’s attendees to show up as their most fabulous selves.
