When thinking of the best directors of all time, the mind instantly travels to names such as Scorsese, Spielberg and Tarantino. But now, it will also travel to the name Corden. For the next unexpected-yet-warmly-received plot twist in the sweet-sounding rom-com that is Harry’s House, Harry Styles has called upon The Late Late Show‘s James Corden to direct the intimate music video for fan favourite, “Daylight”.

With his signature chunky bead necklace rigidly hung around his neck and a simple rainbow striped tee standing as the singer’s outfit, we watch Harry serenade us under the haze of the New York sunset whilst adorned in a comical clown get up, and take a neon-infused party in the new cut. The intimate nature of the video that presents itself from the get-go is furthered after a bit of digging, which will reveal to you the fact that the music video was actually shot within the depths of the apartment of four unsuspecting fans, bringing that accessible yet Hollywood-infused entertainment that James Corden has been serving up with his long-time collaborator Styles, to our screens once more.

A sweet ode to Styles’ fans, and the works he has been doing with his talk show host friends for so many years, the music video for “Daylight” has only made Harry’s House that bit cosier.
