If there is one thing that the stars of Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK know how to do, it’s to work the runway. And, Tayce is a living and breathing example of this. After taking the hit show’s season two by storm, the star is now looking to leave a mark in the worlds of online and runway fashion with an explosive collaboration, one that was commemorated with a strut down the catwalk, of course.

Unveiling the Second Skin Couture initiative, the star has joined forces with breakout designer Chet Lo and the ingenious minds over at the Institute of Digital Fashion, a budding relationship that has been fuelled by the iconic brand ABSOLUT. Aiming to collide the worlds of IRL and URL fashion, the team took to Shoreditch’s Box Park for a runway that hosted Tayce, dripping in one of Lo’s coveted designs, and that was enjoyed by the likes of Roman Kemp and Kimberly Wyatt. With the physical fashion being mirrored in a downloadable AR digital filter for Snapchat, fashion’s limitless possibilities are celebrated here, making this collaboration one to remember.

Speaking on the collaboration, Tayce explains, “I have loved every second of working with such an amazing, talented and fabulous team. All the team at ABSOLUT, the Chet side and the IoDF were mega. It was meant to be. I love a campaign that has meaning and feeling and this one didn’t have any flaws. The Second Skin Couture message is one of power and depth. And one that changes the pace of what is going on. One that changes the scenery of what is going on campaign wise for the better.”

Upon the release of the collaboration, Tayce took some time to sit down with Wonderland to discuss how it came to fruition and the star-studded launch party that unveiled it to the world. Head below to enjoy…

Tell us what an average day in the life of Tayce looks like?
Every day is different, baby! Being Tayce is not 1D, it’s not 3D, it’s 100000D. I have so many different things going on, including my fashion campaigns such as this one with Chet Lo, The IoDF and Absolut Vodka. My music is coming this year and I want to be the next big drag music artist, as well as some television presenting and so much more!

And what’s most important to you within your work and choosing brands to work with?
With me, it’s all about the vibe and the energy. When ABSOLUT Vodka came to me with this idea I knew I had to be a part of it. It had Tayce written all over it, in its DNA and in its feeling and being. This for me was a match made in Tayce heaven.

Congratulations on the launch of Second Skin Couture! What was your personal take on the project?
I have loved every second of working with such an amazing, talented and fabulous team. All the team at ABSOLUT, the Chet side and the IoDF were mega. It was meant to be. I love a campaign that has meaning and feeling and this one didn’t have any flaws. The Second Skin Couture message is one of power and depth. And one that changes the pace of what is going on. One that changes the scenery of what is going on campaign wise for the better.

What was it like working with Chet Lo and the Institute of Digital Fashion?
I have been a fan of Chet for a while so working with him was an absolute dream, to work with someone who has been so involved in so many major fashion moments was magic. Those IoDF girls are major and I loved the spin they put on the ideas and how they turned what were ideas into a reality. They both all got the vision and were able to translate that into the Second Skin Couture message with ABSOLUT Vodka.

How did you reach a finished product line?
Once we had all been back and forth a number of times, we had our finished product. I had never worked on a process like this before so it was really cathartic to see it go from start to finish. Chet and the girls at IoDF are genius and I admire their work ethic and ability to take something from a basic idea through to a concept, through to a prototype and then onto a finished product. Big respect!

And what does it mean to you to work on ABSOLUT’s new campaign #BornToMix?
Absolut as a brand has been a player in the LGBTQ+ space forever. Before many other brands jumped on the bandwagon Absolut knew the space and were allies from the start.

And tell us about the launch party! What were your highlights?
The launch party was epic. I had all my friends there and it was so nice to meet everyone that came along. I had to fly to the States the next day so I did think I would have a tamer night but once there and the Absolut was flowing it was wild. ABSOLUT knows how to throw a party!

Finally, what impact do you hope Second Skin Couture will have on the public? And are you hoping to take your fashion design even further?
I plan to expand even further into fashion and continue this journey. I have made some amazing friends along the way and it’s all thanks to ABSOLUT for bringing us all together.
