We’ve always wondered what it would look like to have the trials and tribulations of our lives immortalised into art — though we doubt it would be anywhere near as spellbinding as Savannah Conley’s latest effort, “Always Gonna Happen”. Creating a musical embodiment of Conley’s worldly experiences, the track pulsates with witty lyricism and powerful symbolism. Yet, with a visualiser starting at a funeral reception, it is clear “Always Gonna Happen” is far removed from the typical coming-of-age anthem.

“There was a moment when I realized that this is the first time in my life where things have actually happened to me. My co-writer and I looked at each other and talked about the shit that has happened that we haven’t even talked about before. When you figure out the world isn’t what you thought it was, it makes you question a lot. ‘Always Gonna Happen’ plays into that; it’s about trusting my instincts to get away from situations and people to move forward in life,” imparts Savannah.
