From stage ‘fits to cocktail parties and off-duty dressing, it is safe to say the looks were well and truly served last week. With avant-garde aesthetics in full force, this week’s roundup sees Post Malone rock a lace-trimmed petticoat, Harry Styles in stripes and flares and Lil Nas X quite literally dripping in diamonds. So with more fashion inspo than we know how to deal with, we decided to collate some of our favourite fits of the lot for your viewing pleasure.

Without further ado, head below to see this week’s note-worthy looks…

Post Malone gets kitted in his St Trinians uniform

What was on Post Malone’s runner for Saturday Night Live, you may wonder? Judging by his posts from the evening, he didn’t require much more than this shirt and skirt ensemble. Contrasting a 00s grunge-style skull with a patterned petticoat, Post really pushed the boundaries of our predictions. Yet despite the seemingly haphazard way in which he paired the pieces, he kept coordination in check, adding a tree-trunk print trimming to his skirt — tying with the oversized sleeves of his t-shirt. To finish, of course, no look would be complete without a freshly lit cigarette — which no doubt made Post’s runner too.

Miley Cyrus serves Cruella Deville if she was into leopards

No one, and we mean absolutely no one, can pull off multiple aesthetics at once. And yet, here is Miley Cyrus – the quintessential figure of western, Y2K, Hollywood classic and avant-garde aesthetics – adding yet another style of dressing to her tally. As though she stepped straight out of the 90s, Miley enjoyed a papporazi photoshoot in a leopard slip. Overlaid by a gold lace fabric, an extra dimension of animal print is brought to the forefront with a wrap-around skirt. Styled with some bronzed out shades and her Cruella-inspired black and bleach bob, she slays the boulevard in style.

Miss Doja Cat strikes again

Having just about recovered from her BBMA’s look, we were caught off-guard when Doja came to the ‘grid with this jellyfish-esque serve. Starting with a set of jewel-encrusted underwear, she plays with silhouettes and tulle to create an ocean-like effect, with fit and flare fabric fitted in asymmetric angles. The main event for us, however, had to be the matching boots — covered in a cascading matching material. The occasion for this particular ensemble, we hear you ask? We have no clue — but does Doja really need one?

Lil Nas X gets into his “Diamond Armour Set”

Lil Nas X is making it a full-time job becoming our next fashion King, and proving why he rules over Montero, he snapped a shot in his diamond-encrusted streetwear fit. Wearing a Harley Quinn-inspired tank top that contrasts baby blue and pink diamonds, the singer pairs some gem-studded boots with distressed jeans — which, you guessed it, are also entirely bedazzled. Tying it all together with an oversized belt, a selection of cocktail rings and some Y2K sunnies, Lil Nas X takes his own track “Diamond Armour Set” quite literally.

Billie Eilish nods to the noughties

If you’re not feeling up to jellyfish-inspired dresses and diamond-studded jeans, Billie Eilish provides some respite with the ultimate off-duty dress code. Wearing baggy on baggy, she matches a sea-blue gilet with a pair of balloon jeans. Adding to her outfit’s “undone” appeal, she fashions a belt that hangs loose at the front — oozing effortless style without appearing to have tried at all.

Harry Styles looks good enough to eat

And finally, ending in the best way we know how, we present Harry Styles. Never one to go by halves when it comes to stage fits, this particular look gave us the sweet tanginess of a Twister — melting perfectly into the artist’s masc-femme 70s aesthetic. Featuring flared bell-bottom sleeves, the custom JW Anderson jumpsuit speaks for every perk of Harry’s style: inventive, against-the-grain, fun — and utterly unforgettable.
