R&B just got a new frontrunner, and it is South London’s VX Duse. Taking his first steps into the music sphere, the lyricist is treating us to a brand new cut hacked straight from his debut EP. “Sia” is a beautiful example of the direction modern R&B is taking, as pensive, soul-piercing beats marry with the romantic-toned vocals of Sia on the new release, culminating in a tune that promises to wind its way into your heart. When talking about the messaging that lies at the track’s core, VX Duse explains, “‘Sia’ is a song about a love interest in which love felt like the only thing that mattered at that moment in time, and that the rest of my life was sidelined for the person I fell for. It’s about finding an equilibrium between my love life and my passion for music so neither suffers from lack of attention.”
