We wanted to send you out of this week’s humpday along to the sounds of a tune serene in nature and sweet in sound. So, we thought it only fair to turn to indie-meets-folk artist Francesca Louise and her moving new single, “Second Time”. A tune akin to those that rippled throughout every tortured 00s rom-com montage, the syrupy tune brings with it the gentle hum of acoustic instrumentation layered underneath Francesca’s angelic voice, delivering with it a truly romantic, relatable tale.

“The characters in this particular story are fictional, but the concept and the events that I’m talking about happen to us all,” explains Francesca. “Of course, I metaphorically describe this in love, but it could be portrayed as many other aspects of life, career, family, friends, personal life goals.”

While a truly captivating cut that promises to inspire as well as transport listeners, “Second Time” is not the first repeat-worthy track of Francesca’s we have been privy to. The successful release of her previous track “For Michael” saw the rising talent gather praise and support from the likes of BBC Introducing and various radio stations up and down the country, causing her following and support to swell. With the promise of more to come in 2022 and a stellar new release proving once more that she is an artist worthy of the name, it becomes clear that Francesca Louise is one to watch.
