This weekend, we went our first full day without wearing a jacket — which can only mean one thing: summer dressing is almost upon us. And with last year’s lockdown-restricted summer giving us sparse opportunity for all-out outfits, we are more determined than ever to pull out all the stops for this season’s looks. And, it would appear some of our favourite style icons are doing the exact same. This week, the likes of Sydney Sweeney, Saweetie and Teyana Taylor offer us an array of high-fashion ensembles for every occasion: whether it be for formalwear, cocktail evenings or off-duty days.

Giving us a Euphoria-esque take on business attire, Sydney came to the ‘gram suited in a sultry camel two-piece. With corseted details cinching the actor in at the waist, all the drama is kept below the hips with a pair of super-relaxed hemline trousers. Fashioning centred pleats, the suit creates a streamlined silhouette that is every bit as elegant as it is stylish. If we aren’t rocking up to this week’s meetings dressed accordingly, then what is even the point of showing up?

Taking inspiration from her role as Princess Diana in The Crown, Emma Corrin served her rendition of controversial dressing in a fun and innovative midi dress. Printed entirely with overlapping peach-coloured balloons, the actor added an against-the-grain accessory with an outward-facing bra featuring balloon-tie accents. Both unexpected and provocative, the ensemble made one hell of a statement at the Olivier Awards — and ensured a celebration no matter the outcome.

Since rocketing to fame on HBO Max’s Euphoria, the sky has well and truly been the limit for Angus Cloud and his potential. And putting those sentiments into action, he has most recently collaborated with Reebok as an official partner — which has, in turn, blessed us with ample streetwear inspo for the coming year. Amongst those was this sky-blue ensemble, which offers comfort as well as the light and airy colour palettes of spring. Colour blocking the cyan shade with a creamy pastel yellow, the look was polished with a navy beanie and classic white trainers.

Catapulting the sophistication of Bridgerton into 2022, Charithra Chandran blessed our feeds with this Barbie-doll co-ord. Emanating a vintage appeal with its unique high-neck cut, the top boasts a modern flair with an open middle section, fastened by a jewel-encrusted bow. Keeping things classic with a split-adorned mini skirt, the glitz of the 1800s is maintained by the actor’s jewelled strappy platforms.

Keeping the party in the back, Saweetie offered up some candids taken at the Grammys, giving us some BTS images that prove no one is exempt from the obligations of a bathroom photoshoot. Wearing an iridescent gown hacked from the Alexandre Vauthier Couture Look 19 Printemps-Été collection, she poses with a full glass of red wine to hand, showcasing the sultry cut-outs at the back of the dress’s mermaid-inspired design.

On the days when we don’t feel like glamming up or suiting down, we could all take a leaf from Teyana Taylor’s book with this comfort-first do-not-disturb look. In a post that teases new visuals coming this summer, she wears an oversized tracksuit complete with graphic text embellishments. Fashioning a striking black and red balaclava by Marine Serre, Teyana keeps her face out of the conversation, while her eyes are covered with chunky ruby-coloured Gucci glasses — making for the perfect outfit for those days we have to make an AM appearance against our will.

Carrying the torch of a Euphoria-cast takeover to the close of this week’s roundup, Barbie Ferreira posted this gingham-clad look on her story — and left us all in awe. The tightly fitted bodycon dress was covered in shades of strawberry and peach, with a checked pattern that sculpted the actor’s curves and popped against her bright-white accessories. In an effort to make the outfit transition from day to night, she completed the look with a milk-maid style cardigan which featured cosy arm-warmers — an innovative accessory we are desperately hunting down for these spring/summer interim evenings…
