Taking their natural penchant for storytelling into the world of visual art, newcomers Low Lying Sun unveil the music video for their brand new single “Car Crash”, hacked from their dynamic EP, “Hymn To Say Goodbye”. Blending soul-baring sentiments with an anthem energy, “Car Crash” is the ultimate exemplar of the bands ability to create head-bopping bangers that are laced with introspective and melancholic undertones.

The visual sees in this juxtaposition of uptempo beats with themes which evoke sadness — building a sense of doom with fast-paced shots of a tragedy, followed by intimate close ups of the band members and their instruments. On the creation of the cinematic video, Low Lying Sun explain, “For the Car Crash video we tried to play with the idea of impending tragedy. The characters in the video exist in some kind of purgatory, still embracing whilst accompanied by the frantic imagery of the band. We wanted to create a sense of confusion, feeding the viewer snippets of the story to build anticipation, much like the song itself.”

With every track of the bands EP giving way to the unwavering rhythm and allure of Low Lying Sun’s indie-rock sound, they prove that though they may be newcomers, they have already cultivated an image which feels both fresh and timeless, to be listened to at a wedding or a wake — when you are happy, sad, or somewhere in between.
