It’s been several weeks of sneak peeks and teasers, but Normani fans can finally consider themselves fed as the singer drops the highly anticipated soft R&B track, “Fair”. Though the track marks a slight departure from her usual uptempo heat, “Fair” comes with the same mesmerising rhythm which takes over your mind and body. Rendering us helpless against her soulful allure, Normani delves into the nature of her heartache with retrospective intensity — showing us a new side to the artist that we can’t quite get enough of.
“This song really captures me in one of my most vulnerable moments,” explains the artist. “Sharing this record makes me uncomfortable because you have never really seen me in this light. I’m definitely aware that you might feel like you don’t know much about me but that’s only because it’s what makes me feel protected. I am really forcing myself to let go here. This is huge for me and hopefully this piece of art resonates. Love is beautiful yet so terrifying”.
