One artist quickly making a name for herself is Nia Amber, whose unapologetic confidence and lyrical prowess dominate her brand new track “D.A”. In a music video that could be the lovechild of Beyoncé and Ariana Grande, Nia delves into the messy pitfalls of toxic relationships and sets out her expectations and standards with finesse. Preserving every ounce of her sensual energy, “D.A.” goes to great lengths to portray Nia as the powerhouse she truly is – and has us feeling empowered and dancing along with her in the process.
Speaking of the meaning behind the track, Nia explains, “’D.A.’ was inspired by a personal experience with a romantic situation that was complicated in my life at the time. I wanted to create a song that was sexy and sultry but at the same time has a direct message. I love this record, it has great balance.”
Having recently signed Nia to her label, Rockstar Music Group, Trina says “I saw the potential in Nia years ago. I was excited about her, so I invited her to my studio session. She sang for me and I knew then and there I had to sign her. I said, if you are ready to put in the work, we can get to work. And we began our journey together. I’ve been really developing her over the years and I’m excited for what is to come for her this year.”
Off the back of widely acclaimed single releases, as well as sharing the stage with the likes of Doja Cat, Saweetie and Megan Thee Stallion, Nia solidifies herself as a force to be reckoned with. To stream the music video for “D.A.”, scroll below…
