Gifting us with a heavy dosage of serotonin, Andy Frasco graces our playlists with another offering from his forthcoming LP with the charming track, “Grow Old”. As candid as a conversation with a friend, the strummy ballad sees Andy searching for a love that will last for longer than a weekend. Filled with breezy beats and a deliciously sweet melody, “Grow Old” transports you to a sunny coast full of opportunity — and its lyrics teach you to seize as many as you can.

Speaking on the meaning of the song, Andy says, “‘Grow Old’ is a song about not giving up on love before it is even able to blossom. I’ve done this my whole life. I seem to run away from love when the going gets tough, but what I’m realising as I get older is that true love is something that doesn’t come without effort. It takes work and it takes going through the full cycle of emotions to really let it blossom like a flower.”

Arguably his most personal project to date, his LP Wash, Rinse, Repeat will be released April 8th. Ahead of it’s release, we received some insight from the artist himself about what to expect, and what he is most excited for. For the Q&A and to stream “Grow Old”, scroll below…

This album, at least based on its first two singles, seems to be a series of life lessons, relayed in song. As you wrote a lot of it during various quarantine periods, did that time alone with yourself inspire you to get introspective?
Totally. This was the first time in 13 years that I haven’t played 250 shows a year. You can distract yourself all you want with your dreams and life but those feelings we suppress just stay there until we face them head on. The quarantine was a huge therapy lesson for me from all the hidden trauma I kept deep inside me.

Of all the tracks on the album that are currently unreleased, are there any that you’re most excited for fans to hear?
I’m really excited for people to hear “Grow Old” and the next single coming out after that, “Puff Break (Believe That)”. This album is really important to me… It’s true and authentic, and what I really wanted to write about coming off of a two year hiatus.
