Peaky Blinders

After an explosive season premiere, it is fair to say that our minds are all firmly planted in ’20s Birmingham, as we were invited to follow Tommy Shelby on his final crusade that is Peaky Blinders season six. With the season kicking off with the gut-wrenching news of Aunt Polly’s death a blood-thirsty Michael devoted to seeking revenge, it is safe to assume to we will be tuning in to episode three this Sunday.

Probably the most talked-about release of the week is Fresh. With Sebastian Stan and Daisy Edgar-Jones taking to the big screen, the pair take us on a twisted journey of modern-day dating, kidnapping and cannibalism – yes, you heard us correctly. BRB, we’re just off to delete our Hinge and watch this movie immediately.

The story of Kanye West’s meteoric rise to the helm of the rap game has been one that has captured the attention and hearts of the globe, and that is all thanks to Jeen-Yuhs. The candid, BTS-style documentary is an intimate ode to the infamous rapper’s dedication to his craft and incomparable mind as narrator, director and cameraman Coodie unveils a tale of unprecedented success and the makings of a now-iconic album. With all three parts of the docu-series now streaming on Netflix, it is most definitely one to watch this weekend.

Pieces of Her

With more twists and turns than your average whodunnit thriller series, Pieces of Her sees a woman chase the dark secrets of her mother’s turbulent past whilst navigating the identity of her own father – as well as love, loss and betrayal. What more could you want from a series?

Mood

We all thought we were clued up on the toxic potential of the world of social media, but BBC Three’s Mood is here to prove you wrong. A twisted tale of an aspiring singer who falls into the wrong company and gets caught up in an array of intense and trying situations, the show will have you perched firmly on the edge of your seat. Coming complete with a heavy trigger warning, Mood is sure to shock upon first watch.
