Tapping into a noughties-inspired production for her latest single, Lanes delivers a dark yet sultry track that serves as a love letter to her songwriting and production ability. From the soft reverbs to the soothing vocals, the artist gently ushers us into her world and candidly breaks down her emotions.

“‘Leaning On’ is a song very close to my heart, mainly because when writing it I felt both a turning point in my personal life as well as my songwriting. I realised that writing music was my way of processing things so that’s how I then constructed the verses. From being completely in the dark with my emotions to slowly unravelling them with songwriting.”

Having already had support from the likes of BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio and Loud Women, the artist is well on her way to becoming prominent in the scene, and we’re excited for what she has in store for us next.
