After having one of the most meteoric rises to fame of any star this generation has seen, it is fair to say that we have all been rendered spellbound by the singer-songwriter’s enchanting aura, glitter-laden aesthetic and, of course, that intoxicating blend of stick-it-to-your-ex lyricism and melancholic sounds.

And now, hoping to give us an intimate look into the making of her debut album, SOUR, and her climb to the peak of the zeitgeist, Olivia dropped the trailer for her documentary, OLIVIA RODRIGO: driving home 2 u (a SOUR film).

Releasing on Disney+ on March 25th, the film is set to offer fans endless BTS, home-shot footage and insight into the star’s creative process as we bear witness to one of 2021’s most celebrated album’s coming to fruition before our very eyes. With the singer’s distinctive voice providing the trailer’s narrative, in which she gasps at the magnitude of her success and contemplates turning introspection and heartbreak into chart-topping hits, it becomes clear that the documentary will be as raw as it will be entertaining, and we cannot wait to bask in every glorious second of it. And, to add fuel to an already very exciting fire, Olivia has most recently gone on the record and confirmed that we will be getting new music in the documentary in the form of an unreleased song meant for the SOUR tracklist. BTS footage and new music? The sad girls are living right now and we are here for every second of it.
