The delightful torture of having a crush is a complex experience we have all been subjected to. And while that blend of agony and excitement is one that we all know too well, it is arguably not an experience that is widely discussed, until now.

Ahead of the release of her debut album, Taura Lamb drops her syrupy-toned track, “Love Song”. An ode to having a crush on someone and pondering if the feelings are reciprocated, the artist invites us to relate to her infectious messaging as a beautiful pop melody emerges. And, with the music video offering us the scenes of the artist recreating iconic album covers of the past, an empowering energy washes over the whole project, making it truly irresistible.

“It’s about finding out the whole time you’ve been agonising over this person and thinking they could never love you back, they’ve been thinking the exact same thing,” explains Lamb when discussing the track’s meaning. “It’s like, are you joking? I could’ve been writing romantic love songs for the last year if we’d just communicated a bit better!”
