While fashion codes are there to be honoured and stand as foundational to a brand’s structure, it is fair to say that sometimes, a switch-up is what we desire. And this season, Etro delivered just that.

Unveiling the AW22/23 Etro Remix collection, the Italian house look to the outdoors to allow the spontaneity of today’s climate to inform its creations. With Veronica Etro at the helm of this latest release, the family-managed brand ensured that its core values presented themselves in features such as heavy patterning, but all of which had undergone a transformation, freeing the label of restrictive codes and giving in to creative freedom.

And, while profound in message, the clothes were equally as mesmerising thanks to their irresistible texture. With intricate patterning receiving a jolt into fruition thanks to textured materials and embellishments, it became clear that this was not a delicate collection to be enjoyed with just the eyes, but one that was durable enough to be felt by admirers. And, in keeping with Etro’s energising theme, onlookers were treated to earthy tones and sunset hues galore, reminding us that, while unpredictable, the great outdoors is a truly beautiful thing to behold. Exciting and bold, Etro unveiled a truly inventive collection, signalling a boundaryless future for the label.
