What would a Thursday afternoon be without a little bit of theatrics? Looking to visualise the theme of her haunting track, “Door Ajar”, ethereal singer Laura Loriga drops her latest music video.

Cinematic at its core, director Alessandra Lancellotti looked to the song’s title for the music video and poetically physicalized it with a forever-shrinking frame, reduced to a sliver akin to the light that peaks through a door ajar. Throughout the video’s course, the talented singer-songwriter takes to a grand organ and embraces the great outdoors, culminating in scenes as captivating as the vocals that fill them. And, with this latest release from the artist standing as an introduction to her upcoming album Vever, it becomes clear that 2022 will be a year full of her incomparable sound.

“I wrote ‘Door Ajar’ some time ago in New York, thinking of a person who at the time I was hoping would somehow go back to a truer place in his mind and give himself a second chance,” explains Laura. “I usually take some time to finish songs, but this one came out quickly, like the beginning of a dialogue. The door stands there with its request, eternally cracked open.”
