Providing us with a summer party-ready single is CADE, with the second offering of his upcoming EP, “Problem$”. Beginning with light and airy notes with ear-tickling synths, the track quickly drops its listeners into a beat-heavy mix of CADE’s sweet vocals and sharp bars. With a tangible energy throughout, the track is exemplary of the LA-based singers craft for injecting versatility into his smooth soundscape. Singing of the dichotomy between being heartbroken and angry, the track is one of his most relatable yet. As the release of his EP “Watching You Cry” draws closer, “Problem$” acts us the ultimate glimpse into his newly innovated style.

Discussing the meaning behind the new single, CADE explains, “When a relationship comes to an end, it’s usually for a reason. Maybe the communication was off, or you just didn’t feel like the best version of yourself. When it all comes crashing down, you get to choose how you move forward. I wrote ‘Problem$’ after my last breakup. With social media these days, it can be hard to completely avoid your ex. In the moment, I felt like I was being low-drama and that she was trying to get a rise out of me / start a problem. Instead of sending a text or taking to social media, I went to the studio with my producer Camden Bench and wrote this song to release my pent up emotions.”

CADE’s new EP will be released on April 8th via Ultra Records. Ahead of the release, CADE says, “‘Watching You Cry’ is a project I made while going through a pivotal growth period in my life. I was having highs & lows with a 3-year relationship that inevitably crashed and burned, and was working to find myself, who I am and what I want to be known for. I wanted the project to make everyone feel like they were in the passenger seat for all of the experiences I had during the time I was writing it.”
