Alexa Demie, Tyler, The Creator and Chloe Bailey all feature in this week’s fashion round-up.
With Men’s fashion week currently in full swing, it is fair to say that many of us are raiding our wardrobes, and the internet, in search of fresh looks inspired by the scenes being born out of Paris and beyond. And, in a bid to make your search that bit easier, we have round-up up some of our favourite looks from both on and off the runway to fill out this week’s Looks of the Week.
Head below to enjoy outfits from the likes of Alexa Demie, Teyana Taylor and Chloe Bailey…
Alexa Demie lived every fashion girl’s fantasy
While every second of Euphoriaseason two has been worthy of hype and celebration thus far, there was one moment in particular that grabbed our attention, and it was Maddy living out her fashion girl fantasy in a rich woman’s closet. And, while all of the outfits were dreamy in nature, nothing came close to the 1991 Thierry Mugler Vampire dress we saw the teen prancing around in during the infectious montage. A drama-filled gown in a striking midnight black that featured a cropped princess silhouette with an ornate bust and puffed sleeves, this archival beauty is a thing that fashion fantasies are made of. Keep living our dreams for us, Alexa.
Ye and Julia Fox gave us Britney and Justin 2.0
Who would we be if we didn’t give a quick nod towards Julia Fox and Ye? Whilst perched front row at Kenzo’s latest show, the pair opted for double denim looks almost akin to that of Justin and Britney’s – ones that have caused just as much of a stir as the original looks, we might add. And, while there are many details to the couple’s ‘fit that we could mention, one that Julia unveiled in a recent interview is particularly interesting. While the cone busted denim jacket and statement earrings donning the actress may have been cut straight from Daniel Roseberry’s Schiaparelli, the low-rise jeans that featured in the look are actually a pair from the designer’s personal archives. That’s right, Julia snatched the clothes straight off of Daniel’s back! The girls really will do anything for fashion!
Tyler, The Creator was preppy perfection at the Louis Vuitton show
Another look from the current fashion-fuelled festivities that we are loving comes courtesy of the current man of the hour, Tyler, The Creator. After his euphoric display at Louis Vuitton‘s latest show, for which he composed the music and took to the runway on his bike, Tyler donned his now-signature trapper hat, which perfectly complimented his chocolate-coloured suit trousers and embellished shoes. In the name of contrast however, the rapper layered a pristine white shirt and candyfloss blue cardigan with a cropped pilot jacket, complete with two tiger motifs and fur collars, culminating in what can now be dubbed the official Tyler, The Creator uniform.
We want to live in Teyana Taylor’s coat
With the January chills setting in, many of us are still looking for the perfect way to dress both stylishly and practically, an art that Teyana Taylor has mastered. Draped in a rainbow coat comprised of vibrant patches, all crafted from a fluffy, shaggy material, it situated itself as one that we are desperate to adopt into our wardrobes. With the garish-yet-delightful Balenciaga Croc wellies also featuring, it is safe to say that Teyana has become our 2022 style icon.
It’s official, Chloe Bailey invented the LBD
We are no stranger to an LBD featuring crazy cut-outs, but Chloe Bailey has still managed to bring the drama to our feeds this week with her take on the classic outfit. Featuring razor-sharp shoulder pads and long sleeves, the silhouette of the gown was one of elegance and sophistication. But, in true pop star style, Bailey ensured that the look was bold as a gaping bust cut-out commanded attention. With slight coverage provided by a thick band of material laying over the daring cavity, the look blended sex and sophistication effortlessly.
Winnie Harlow mastered the art of courtside dressing
When it comes to courtside dressing, we can expect streetwear looks and casual coolness galore, and Winnie Harlow brought all of this and more this week. Dressed in a pair of mutilated denim jeans, an oversized puffer jacket with a bandana inspired print and matching Jordans, Winnie gave us a dose of her celebrated off duty model attire, perfect for the court. She really did give us nothing but net.
