The next brand looking to cause a stir as we look towards a month brimming with shows and collections galore is Qasimi, as they unveil their vibrant AW22 collection.
With Creative Director Hoor Qasimi behind the “Where No Walls Remain” collection, we have been treated to a display of pure technicolour. With the label touching on the hedonistic scenes born out of 90s raves, ripples of electric colour can be witnessed throughout, all of which are washed over cuts synonymous with the traditional garments of the Middle East. But, a deep contrast is presented as formalwear sharply situates itself in between the brightly coloured garments, the two of which poetically work together to emulate the core themes of the collection: optimism and community.
And, that is not where the excitement ends. While the clothes themselves may be the ingenious work of Qasimi, the designer has also looked towards other exciting names from the industry, and beyond. With the socio-political Palestinian artists, Basel & Ruanne, and artistic initiative, For Freedoms, teaming up with the brand to collaborate on pieces and concepts alike, its AW22 collection becomes one steeped in rich culture.
