I AM Jordy…init

BORN IN NW London and RAISED IN Tottenham and Essex

THE FIRST RECORD I FELL IN LOVE WITH WAS Ludacris – “Roll Out”

NOW IT REMINDS ME OF my first ever house in Harlesden, I was like 6-years-old rapping to the TV every time it came on.

MY BIGGEST INFLUENCES ARE Luda, Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Drake, Kendrick, Kanye, Pusha T, Ghetts, Kano, Skepta etc.

VISUALLY, I’M INSPIRED BY everything. The good, the bad, the ugly. Everything.

MY MOST PERSONAL LYRIC IS “Thought that she wanted me, but she just wanted guestlist” – it’s about a silly billy, SMH.

RIGHT NOW I’M WRITING ABOUT everything I am currently seeing and living. Reality.

I HOPE MY MUSIC MAKES people turn the volume up to the max, feel good, start it over again – all that good stuff.

MY SUPERPOWER IS my work ethic.

ONE PIECE OF ADVICE THAT’S STUCK WITH ME IS nobody is gonna do the work for you and the world will not stop for you – it’ all I needed to hear.

THE BEST GIG I’VE EVER SEEN WAS Jay-Z and Kanye, Watch The Throne tour.

THE BEST CROWD I’VE EVER PLAYED WAS at my 1st ever headline show last year.

THE BIGGEST MISCONCEPTION ABOUT ME IS that I care.

MY BIGGEST LEARNING CURVE IS figuring out that my instincts will rarely fail me and trusting my gut before anyone else.

LAST YEAR I WAS PROUD OF everything I put out.

I’M EVOLVING INTO SOMEONE WHO drops more regularly.

I WON’T COMPROMISE ON being allowed to bring combs into music venues. Last year I wasn’t allowed so I think I need to get a bit bigger.

THE FUTURE OF THE MUSIC INDUSTRY IS scary.

AS AN INDUSTRY, WE NEED TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO sell music again.

BRING BACK remixes that are remixes, not the same song with an added verse.

AT MIDNIGHT ON NYE, I WAS WISHING FOR a cheap Uber.

SONG I HAD ON REPEAT IN 2021 WAS T-Pain “Bartender”, the best song in the world.

SONG I’M BRINGING INTO 2022 T-Pain Bartender – I stand by what I said.

BEING INCLUDED AS ONE OF WONDERLAND’S ONES TO WATCH MAKES ME FEEL LIKE I must be doing something right.

MY NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTION IS to stop drinking coke. It’s got a hold on me that ends Jan 1st 2022.

NEXT YEAR I WILL drink more water (lol) and then drop some bangers.

NEXT YEAR YOU SHOULD BE LISTENING TO Elt Cheekz. My favourite rapper today and my cousin too. No bias though.

NEXT YEAR I HOPE WE CAN ALL order food without a QR code.
