With it being the height of Capricorn season, we have all been taking leaps and bounds towards a journey of bettering ourselves. This year, it appears no one is taking this quite as seriously as FKA Twigs. Having left the internet stirring back in December over a TikTok, filmed with Twig’s signature ethereal notes over softly spoken vocals teasing in the background, we have been anticipating a new drop from the artist for what feels like eternity. Taking to Instagram to announce her fresh new mixtape, “CAPRISONGS”, along with an impressive 17-song effort featuring collaborations with the likes of The Weeknd, Jorja Smith and Shygirl, it appears FKA Twigs sucked the goal-setting Capricorn sun dry to deliver the perfect soundscape to kick off the new year.

Before it is set to drop on 14th of January, Twigs told her fans, “CAPRISONGS is my journey back to myself through my amazing collaborators and friends. […] It’s my stubborn caparison ass telling me too work thru my pain by delivering at work, don’t think just go studio and create.”

With the artist using her new music as a means to get to know herself on a whole new level, we can’t wait to see what follows when FKA Twigs’ journey is set to take her next.
