While 2021 will go down in history as a celebratory year for Gucci, as it honoured its 100th anniversary with collections and pop-ups galore, the house is looking to continue on with this legacy in 2022, starting with its Gucci Tiger collection.

Looking to honour the upcoming Year of the Tiger, Alessandro Michele unveils a ready-to-wear collection complete with accessories, all of which boast infectiously bold lettering and imagery of the big cat that lies at its heart. Now, while specific in focus, Gucci Tiger does seamlessly embraces one of the house’s most treasured inspirations: nature. With vibrant patterning, the house’s signature Flora and G motifs running rife throughout the men’s and women’s cuts, a joyous air of celebration emulates from the collection’s core, making it a must-buy ahead of the occasion in question, which commences on February 1st. And, with the great outdoors on the brain, it was only fair that the new drop included Gucci’s animal-free Demetra material and a display of its first-ever eco-friendly watch – meaning that both eco-conscious customers and the tigers themselves are left satisfied.

And what better way to celebrate the collection than with a campaign video that is both surreal and opulent in equal measure. Lensed by photographer Angelo Pennetta, Gucci invites a tiger to high tea as we are treated to the delightful scenes of models, clad in the new collection, snacking on delicate pastries and sipping from teacups, all whilst the feline slinks around the setting in a truly majestic fashion.
