It’s been a long time coming, but after a year of delays and reshoots, the trailer for Euphoria season two is here and we’re currently wildin’. Dropping the official trailer, we’ve been thrown back into the world of Rue Bennett, a drug addict who emerges from rehab still trying to make sense of the world, and her partner in crime Jules who moves into town and shakes up the world.
With the first season ending with the two going their separate ways after a botched runaway attempt, the second season is set to follow the teens as they reunite at school and deal with the fallout of last season’s drama.
And, if the cliff-hanger ending of the first season didn’t already have you in fits of uncontrollable anticipation, HBO is looking to get you there, as the streaming service gives us our first fully-formed look at the second. Seeing the return of previous cast members Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Barbie Ferreira and Maude Apatow, the trailer also welcomes newcomer and Wonderland cover star Dominic Fike, who is bringing him a world of drug-related trouble it seems, as we watch Zendaya’s character showing up to an AA-like meeting and welding a very sketchy suitcase, all while Zendaya narrates statements of love towards Hunter Schafer’s Jules. With the trailer ending with the flash of car crashes, tears, violent arguments and all-around drama, it is fair to say that January 9th, when the season is set to air, couldn’t come soon enough.
