If like us, you are in search of some energy to get you through those final days before Christmas, artist Conal Kelly has got you with his track “Pyromaniac”. Hectic in sound yet wholly energising, the crash of alt-pop instrumentation and the artist’s enchanting vocal tone come together in perfect unison on the new offering, allowing it to stand as a repeat-worthy and high-energy listen. And, with lyrics steeped in a profound message surrounding the highs and lows of a hedonistic lifestyle, the new song situates itself as one of depth.

When speaking on his new track, Conal stated, “the theme of this song was written around a specific type of addiction; not only substance but also a social addiction. With the subject being someone who is addicted to partying and socialising, it intends to convey the feeling of living on a knife’s edge. Always around people, unable to spend any time alone without being deafened with insecurities and anxieties. It was also super quick to write, the whole thing was done within 24 hours – writing, recording, mixing etc – so it came out very naturally. It is a bit of a push outside of my comfort zone sonically, but not an uncomfortable one.”

And, the only thing that could elevate the track further? Making its UK debut today, the artist has unveiled the track’s accompanying music video. Under the surge of fiery lighting, the artist serenades watchers with an electric performance in which he proves his musical talent, as he masters multiple instruments and puts on a captivating show.
