“It’s okay to not look like everyone else or sound like everyone else. I had to come to terms with that very quickly through college, because what are you going to do? Are you going to just, I don’t know, try and grow your hair back so you don’t look like a Camden mohawk person? This is you, babes. I’ve always gravitated towards things that no one is doing and it’s not in a forceful way, like, ‘Oh, I’m waking up and trying my hardest to be unique.’ This is me.
