With winter in full effect, we’ve been reminiscing of all things summer: the late endless nights, days in the beer garden and the beating sun. Bringing these much need vibes into the winter season with their new single is Latin superstars Mau Y Ricky with “Mal Acostumbrao”. Enlisting Maria Becerra for the fiery track, the trio take us through a pop fiesta filled with hip-hop sensibilities and feel-good rhythms. Keeping the same vibes for the accompanying video, the trio transport us to the Miami where skate parks and basketball courts take over the scene.

Speaking on the collaboration and release, the duo said, “We wanted to work with Maria for a long time and it was very funny because on the day of our session, she was supposed to arrive the day before, but her flight was delayed and we were not going to be able to do it. Then our flight out of Argentina was delayed, so our schedules had some overlap. She arrived around 2 in the afternoon and had to leave around 6, so we had like four hours to write the whole song and record it. We have been closely following the music movement happening in Argentina, and to be able to do the song with the Big One, to see how he works, was incredible. The truth is we had the best time. We’re sure that this is the first of many things that we’ll do together. Maria had the best attitude shooting the music video with us. There were long recording days and she was up for everything that we wanted to do. We really hope that people like this song that talks about starting to fall in love with a person that drives you crazy.”

Known to push the boundaries on Latin-pop in the urban world, the duo have gone from strength to strength in past year gaining over 400 million views. With more music set to be released in 2022, expect big things from the duo.
