It goes without saying that we’re currently in the season of reboots. From Gossip Girl to Pretty Little Liars, we’re currently basking in nostalgia, and the upcoming Sex and The City reboot is about to push us over the edge. First teased last year, the show is set to throw us back into the world/wardrobe of Carrie Bradshaw and her friends as they navigate all things romance, sex and New York.
Dropping the trailer yesterday, the new revival will focus once again on Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) as they immerse us into their lives. Unfortunately Kim Cattrall has chosen not to return as fan favourite Samantha due to issues that have been well documented over the years with Parker, but the show runners have confirmed that the door is always open for her character to return at some stage – teasing that her character will be based in London to explain her absence.
Along with original cast, Sara Ramírez, Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker and Karen Pittman are all due to make an appearance in the new show as they now deal with culture and societal changes. Airing this December weekly on HBO Max, the show will consist of 10 episodes and will run until February.
