It goes without saying, but music is an outlet for all of us – whether we’re gearing up for the weekend or mending or broken heart. For London-hailed alt-rock band The Bloodstreams, music is a form of therapy and their new single “Columbine” proves this. Documenting the two sides of love and hate in their music, the group navigate the slow-burning production with heavy guitar riffs and thunderous piano keys. The band, led by James on lead vocals with Jasmine & Danny harmonising, intimately put their knack for storytelling on full display.
Sitting in the same lane as The Fat White Family as they enter the second half of this song, the group revealed that was inspired by a heavenly love story, “It’s very abstract and meant to be heard as a universal evangelical love story”
Set for a huge 2022, with various new music in the pipeline, the band are sure to keep us entertained in the coming months.
