With winter coming at us in full force this week, we’re in need of some comforting as we ease into the colder season, and duo Memorial are providing the recipe with their new single “In The Arms of December”. Tenderly welcoming us into a warming soundscape filled with serene vocals and gently guitar strings, the folk-pop duo put their songwriting prowess on full display while heading into a lighthearted production. Known for their soothing and ethereal sound, the duo continue the vibe for their latest single while offering up more of their signature vocals and talent.

Speaking on the release, they said, “This song was born out of one of those nights in mid-December, the festive season had truly kicked in but felt completely elsewhere. The TV was just background noise and sleep was a distant goal behind all anxious thoughts and the only solace was the company of a familiar spirit. We only had a verse for almost a year and it was a really cathartic process to return to a place of desperation, from a position of clarity and be able to leave that darkness behind respectfully.”

Bringing the single to life with a scenic video shot in the ever-beautiful Lake District, the duo take us through the vast countryside and continue to put us at ease. Currently putting the finally touches to their next full-length project, we say keep the band’s music close and they’re going to be carrying us through winter.
