When it comes to pushing the boundaries on their sound, no one does it quite like London-based quartet Jet-G, and their latest single “Keep Me Waiting” proves this. Stripping everything back for their new single, we’re ushered in by a leading bass line wrapped in ECKOES atmospheric and pulsating vocals. Picking up memento around the chorus, we see the group dive further in to a dark otherworldly soundscape lead by a mystic and experimental aura.
Speaking on the release, the lead singer said, “Our latest song is about how it must feel to lose your unborn child alone in a hospital bed. To be told there’s no heartbeat but you can hear life as normal continuing outside. She’s singing to her child that will come, the one that keeps her waiting.”
Having been supported by various tastemakers such as BBC Radio London’s Jess Iszatt and Stereofox, the group have been gaining attention for their forward-thinking and unique style. With inspirations ranging from Hans Zimmer to Bjork, the group are due to continue making waves in the new year.
