It goes without saying, but we miss summer: The long hot nights, the endless good vibes and of course, day parties. Transporting us back to these time with his dreamy new single is Yot Club with “Hole”. Taking a minimalist approach to electronica, the artist propells us into a warm hazy soundscape filled with slick ear-worming synths and breezy vocals. Combining elements of lo-fi with retro sunny-pop, the artist intricately carves out his own lane of vibrant bedroom-pop while riding adding in touches of hip-hop and indie.
Speaking on the single, the artist said, “At the beginning of the pandemic I couldn’t help but notice a lot of songs about the strange, unpredictable times we’re living in. The pandemic is something that everyone on earth is experiencing, so to me it almost seems like a cheat code to relatability in songwriting. “Hole” isn’t really a song about “wishing things would go back to normal”, it’s about how the current times have forced people to disassociate from reality just so they can feel a sense of normalcy (or at least that’s how I do it).”
Known for his viral TikTok hit “YKWIM”, the Nashville-hailed musician has been making waves in the underground scene, meticulously producing a selection of jangle-pop and new wave. Set to drop his EP “Santolina” next year, the rising star is due for a take over.
