It’s goes without saying, but with winter now in full-swing we’re loving all things cosy, warm and festive, and that includes George Perris’ new track “I Have a Dream”. Filled with serene soothing guitar strings and stirring melodies, the artist intricately navigates the simplistic production, while adding vocal flair and finesse. Putting an intimate spin on the widely-renowned ABBA single, the artist serves this up as a form of therapy to those in need, citing the recording experience as healing.
“This song has given me hope through some of my most difficult times, it made me feel protected and that’s why I wanted it to be the first single off the album,” shares Perris. “It was the same unthinkable vision of singing the track in my forthcoming PBS special in an ancient temple that began with a dream. I’m so excited to share a piece of my country, Greece, with everyone around the world. Never underestimate the power of a dream.”
Accompanied by a mesmerising music video, Perris offers an exciting sneak-peek into his upcoming PBS concert special footage, George Perris: A Sunset in Greece, which is due to premiere December 15th. Using the historic Temple of Aphaea as his background, the artist breathes life into the single with the video, under the artistic sunset. The new video, led the singer to develop a partnership with the Greek National Tourism Organisation, who had handpicked him for their new campaign. With the artist also being a Horatio Alger Association ambassador and UNICEF ambassador, it’s clear to us that the artist’s interest don’t only lie in music.
