Cast your minds back to May. A month filled with the promise of new starts as the nation cautiously emerged out of the depths of lockdown, one that we will remember for its endless possibilities and scope for change. And, another reason why it is planted firmly in our brains? The unveiling of the Chanel Cruise 2021/22 collection was a moment to remember and one that made the month all the more magical.
As Virginie Viard took to the South of Frace in a bid to unveil the era-appropriate and punk-infused collection, something that appeased a generation to TikTok-obsessed teens and their love of eclectic fashion, we were treated to a reimagined version of Chanel’s most classic codes. But now, in a bid to ensure that followers of the house don’t let the monumental nature of the collection go forgotten, Chanel now unveils the collection’s ad campaign ahead of it release today.
Allowing the new collection to take centre stage, the campaign, lensed by Inez & Vinoodh, transports viewers into the depths of serene sandy beach as the likes of Louise de Chevigny, Mahany Pery, Lola Nicon and Anna Ewers pose against a backdrop featuring gently crashing waves and candy-hued skies, dressed in some of the Cruise 2021/22 line’s most striking cuts.
