While many brands and designers have looked to collaborate this year, no two names have caused quite the stir as Kim Kardashian West and Kim Jones did when they unveiled the FENDI x SKIMS collection.
Packed full with the seamless cuts synonymous with the widely adored shapewear line, the new limited-edition capsule, lensed by the infamous Steven Meisel, is the brainchild of the pair, a prime example of the powers of collaborative design. Geared towards the modern woman, the collection offers up silhouette enhancing and figure-hugging mini dresses along with sheer undergarments, all washed over in both Kim’s signature nude hues and electric magenta colours. And, the star of the show? It has to be the hybrid FENDI x SKIMS logo, a hype beast’s dream.
When speaking on the inspiration behind the collaboration, Kim states, “Kim Jones and I have been close friends for years. I love his creative spirit and how he understands luxury in a way that makes total sense for how people want to dress. He works extremely hard, and as a workaholic myself, I recognise and admire the passion he puts into everything he does.”
