After months of anticipation, the trailer for the already-classic House of Gucci movie graced our screens in late July – and it was everything we could have hoped for and more.
Filled with the scenes of Lady Gaga in 80s-glam ski looks and Adam Driver embroiled in pensive contemplations, the trailer left fans thoroughly impressed as its displays of sex, scandal and plenty of archived fashion moments were offered up in an excitingly dramatic manner. Following the true story of Patrizia Reggiani, the ex-wife of Gucci heir Maurizio Gucci, who was killed in a 1995 hit she orchestrated, the trailer promises an exploration of the murder and subsequent fallout as detailed in a book of the same name by Sara Gay Forden in a masterfully executed manner. Also starring Gucci superfan Jared Leto, legend Al Pacino and Jeremy Irons, the explosive trailer for the fashionable display made its arrival on November 24 undeniably exciting.
But now, in the name of keeping fans hungry for me, production house MGM unveil the second trailer for the hotly-anticipated masterpiece. Giving us a further look at Lady Gaga in action, tense family politics and revenge with a callous undertone is promised as pressure mounts and the film’s murder-centric plot, featuring the brutal demise of some of the Gucci family’s most illustrious figures, becomes all the more evident.
So, while the loss of love and lives throughout the film’s course is a certainty, one thing that is sure to prevail is pure drama upon the movie’s release this Thanksgiving.
