With November fast approaching, there are many festive occurrences on the horizon. And, while the hotly anticipated return of Winter Wonderland and spice-infused coffee menus are enough of a reason to celebrate, nothing has us more excited than the return of joyous holiday adverts. And, our favourite one so far? It has to be Gap’s Katy Perry-starring ALL TOGETHER NOW campaign.
In a bid to shower the world with a message on love, kindness and acceptance, Gap’s Global Creative Director, Len Peltier, looked to the pop sensation to serenade the brand’s customers with a rendition of The Beatles’ “All You Need Is Love”, whilst dressed in its irresistible winter-ready cuts, of course. Lensed by the infamous Mark Romanek and featuring Katy’s enchanting vocal range, the campaign stands as a stylish ode to the joyous holiday spirit – something that becomes all the more evident as Gap and Katy embark on the charitable mission to raise money for Baby2Baby with the song’s profits.
When speaking on the new campaign, Katy claimed, “I’m always excited to work with brands that are going the extra mile to make this world a better, happier place. Reimagining one of the most recognisable and emotional songs of our time with an iconic brand like Gap, having such a special and important message, has been a dream. And what better reason to partner than bringing people together to spread joy for the holidays and raise money for Baby2Baby, a charity that’s close to my heart. Children are our future. We need to lift kids and help them find their value, self-worth and self-respect.”
