It’s fair to say that when it comes to the unveiling of a collection, the only thing more exciting than a celebrated brand dropping a new line of designs is the prospect of a fellow name of the same stature joining them for a blended collaboration. So, when it came time for BOSS to begin dreaming up a Pre-Spring 2022 collection, collaborating with the American clothing company Russell Athletic was a no brainer.

Looking to the buzzy atmosphere and electric spirit born out of baseball game days, the two partners have unveiled a casualwear capsule brimming with sporty sensibilities. Continuing on with the theme set by this year’s Met Gala, archival American fashion prevails as a patriotic colour scheme lays over irresistible high school-synonymous bomber jackets and vibrant thin-chequered overcoats in the youthful campaign. And, in the name of keeping things infectiously cosy, stripped-athletic socks and bucket hats serve as welcomed-yet-understated accessories.

While the reveal of this laidback capsule is stirring up plenty of excitement, this is not where the extent of the collaboration ceases. In a bid to make Milan Fashion Week all the more spectacular, BOSS and Russell Athletic took to Italy to host a star-studded and Kennedy Sport Center-bound runway. And, who better to showcase the sporty collection than the likes of Gigi Hadid, Irina Shayk and Adut Akech?
