But, while the calming cut already boasts relatable messaging steeped in her personal history and infectious sounds sure to have listeners enchanted, Bess Atwell now plans on treating her fans further by unleashing its live rendition. Overlooking luscious cricket grounds whilst perched on a rustic porch, Bess delivers the track’s poignant message in her recognisable captivating tone that has an added rawness that comes courtesy of an unfiltered performance as the consuming and harmonious sounds of her band’s acoustic instrumentation ring out. And, with the singer crediting her choice of location for the performance to the fact that her father used to spend many a summer playing cricket, the essence of nostalgia that falls over the powerful live display becomes all the more evident.

When speaking on her newest release, the artist claims, “’Red Light Heaven’ is underpinned by a mournful perception of the past, whether the memory is positive or not. I think early adulthood can be a very lonely time, and it felt poignant to return to somewhere that reminds me of the best times of my childhood.”
