The street style born out of NYFW is arguably just as exciting as the debut collections gracing the runways, and Rosalía is here to prove it. Serving face whilst strutting down the sidewalks of New York, the singer stunned in a thigh-gracing leather blazer, matching crop top and sultry lace-up pants, all of which were effortlessly chic due to their black monochrome colour palette. Someone hire Rosalía’s stylist as the costume designer for the new The Matrix movie, please.
LOOKS OF THE WEEK
Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus and Dua Lipa feature in this week’s fashion round-up.
We didn’t know that Rosalía was starring in the new The Matrix movie?
Megan Thee Stallion and Dua Lipa made a case for co-ordinated girls night out ‘fits
We all knew that Dua Lipa was the queen of looks, but who knew that she also could turn out a co-ordinated display with fellow outfit connoisseur Megan Thee Stallion? Whilst embroiled in a casino-bound girls night, Meg and Dua posed in a set of fun-filled pics. Whilst contrasting in print, pattern and silhouette – with Dua looking to a sexy lace bodysuit and Megan donning a psychedelic printed bodycon mini dress – a dreamy pastel colour palette fused the two looks together, allowing the duo to look effortlessly in sync.
Ariana Grande adopted the cowgirl Barbie aesthetic
A special nod is in order for the stylist to the stars Mimi Cuttrell, because Ariana’s latest cowgirl-inspired outfit was a whole look. Choosing to see her newest role as a judge on The Voice as an opportunity to play dress-up, Ariana turned to a pink colour palette as she donned a pair of extravagantly flared pants, with came paired with a figure-hugging corset. But, the stars of the show? Accessories such as and relaxed above-the elbow-gloves, low-hanging stringed pearls and a rigid cowboy hat made it an outfit to remember.
Khalid did Christmas coloured leathers
Following in Rosalía’s footsteps is Khalid, with another leather look. But, in replacement of the striking black hues of the previous look, the “Young, Dumb & Broke” singer turned to a Christmas colour palette as various shades of green adorned his straight-leg pants and cropped jacket, both of which were met with a vibrant pop of red courtesy of some steel toe boots.
Miley let the girls know that Hannah Montanna is all grown up
One of the best things to re-emerge this summer was the stage outfits synonymous with live music. And, while the festival season may be coming to a close, Miley Cyrus came with a look that has ensured that it goes out with a bang. With a dusty rose crossed halterneck cut-out bodysuit meeting a black mini skirt and over the knee skin-tight boots, the outfit was performance-ready in nature. And, with every inch of fabric littered with chunky diamante embellishments, this was made all the more clear.
