Are you in need of some syrupy-sounding escapism? Well, pop vocalist Valerie Broussard has just the thing as she unveils the visuals for her track “Drive”. Hoping to help listeners transcend the boundaries of reality with a tale of abandoning the routines associated with everyday life whilst accompanied by a loved one, the track showcases Valerie’s robust vocal abilities and skilled penmanship with the help of pop-laden backing and a consuming chorus. And, with the track giving fans an insight into the sounds of the artist’s debut EP “Voyager”, it becomes all the more attention-grabbing.

Hoping to continue on with the other-worldly theme of “Drive”, the visionary talent delved deep into her imagination in a bid to craft its accompanying visuals. In the beautiful music video, fans of the track can enjoy the euphoric yet mind-bending scenes of the artist cruising above the clouds in a metallic retro automobile, which is bound straight for space. And, as Valerie embarks on her journey through the idyllic dreamland, expect to observe candyfloss-coloured clouds and intergalactic backdrops complete with shooting stars.

“For my ‘Voyager’ EP, I wanted to create visuals that were entirely in space,” explains Valerie when speaking on the aesthetics of her latest release. “During lockdown, going to the stars felt like the ultimate escape, and I’m a massive sci-fi and fantasy fan, so I was really excited to create this world. The idea for “Drive” came to me right away, a classic car flying through space – the ultimate joyride. Rafatoon was the perfect partner and director to execute my vision, and I am so excited to show the world the work of this incredible team.”
