It may be Friday, but Adna is putting us straight into our feelings with her emotionally-driven single “Darkness Born In Youth”. Blending lush dreamy vocals with a beautifully crafted production, the singer goes in a new direction for her latest single, layering her voice with seductive and smooth undertones. Following on from her previous single “Don’t Know”, we see the singer display her soulful presence in the single accompanied by her soaring vocals.

Speaking on the release, the artist revealed, “It’s hard not to sound pretentious about it, but this is really just a very honest improvisation that I recorded for my own memory in case I would forget about it. The title refers to the sensitivity I often find myself thinking of as a burden… I guess most people have had to end relationships, wishing it could have been with someone else instead.”

Dropping the single alongside news that her new album with be dropping on 17 September, we’re thinking big things are coming the artist’s way.
