International success is a desired achievement for many aspiring musicians, but for Chelsea Singh, it is a reality. From gracing iconic venues such as Ministry Of Sound and Ocean Beach with his consuming party beats to working alongside the likes of Boy George and Carl Cox, the multi-facet has reached the heights of industry success over the course of his seasoned career. Now, looking to fellow DJ and producer Rob Tissera, Chelsea hopes to get his listeners back to dancing with the reverberative production and groove-inducing beat drops that feature on his new project, “Make You Whole”.

When speaking on his newest track, Chelsea claimed, “the inspiration for that track, which is available now on Beatport, came from one of my favourite tracks of all time growing up, and I used to hear this at all the clubs, dance to it all night, and that is one of the tracks that stood out to me in my head.”

Upon the release of “Make Me Whole”, the DJ sat down with Wonderland to talks his biggest achievements and who inspired his journey into music. Head below to read our interview with Chelsea Singh…

Whore House · Chelsea Singh & Rob Tissera – Make You Whole (Original Mix) Whore House Records RELEASED 23.08.21

Talk us through your upbringing! Was it very music orientated?
No, my upbringing wasn’t very music orientated, but I knew from a young age that I really loved music! What I used to do was steal my dad’s radio and listen to the top 40 hits over the weekend!

What drew you to DJing specifically? Who do you look up to musically?
Jamie Jones. That is who I look up to musically.

Congratulations on your upcoming track, “Make You Whole”! Can you talk us through the track’s inspiration?
The inspiration for that track, which is available now on Beatport, came from one of my favourite tracks of all time growing up, and I used to hear this at all the clubs, dance to it all night, and that is one of the tracks that stood out to me in my head.

You also collaborated with Rob Tissera on this! How did this partnership come about?
Rob Tissera is a brilliant DJ and producer, and I have been listening to and playing his music over the years, so when I asked Rob to do a collaboration he already knew about me and my music, and he said yes!

You have played at iconic venues, such as Ocean Beach and Ministry of Sound, and collaborated with big industry players! What would you cite as your biggest achievement to date?
Still to this day, it has to be playing with Boy George all those years ago at Ministry of Sound.

Who are you looking to work with next?
That is quite a difficult one, as there are so many top people I would love to work with! I would love to do something with Jamie Jones. You’ve got to aim high, haven’t you!

What does the future hold for your career?
Just to keep going and going until I reach the top!

Do you have any projects that you are currently working on that you can tell us about?
Yes! There is a project I am working on at the moment. It’s a remix of an old school classic tune by Alison Limerick, “Where Love Lives”, and if all goes well, I should have some new lyrics going on top of that song. Plus, I was very lucky to be speaking to the Rat Pack, and we are hopefully going to get a collaboration going!
