LOOKS OF THE WEEK
Ivy Park chaps, polka dot birthday suits and aqua princess ‘fits: Normani, Dua Lipa and Ariana Grande are the queens of this week’s fashion round-up.
Normani was a Houston hottie in Ivy Park
There was only one way to start this week’s Looks of the Week, and it was with Normani in Ivy Park. Taking to Instagram this week, the “Wild Side” singer looked undeniably sexy whilst dressed in Beyoncé’s latest creations. Sporting a figure-hugging denim bodysuit that featured contrasting tan stitching and matching chaps adorned with the infamous Adidas stripes, Normani rocked the new Ivy Park collection in her usual sultry style. Now that they have teamed up for a clothing collab it is only fair that Bey and Normani jump on a track together, right?
Rihanna was red hot in Savage X Fenty
When it comes to lingerie, Savage X Fenty is the only name that should spring to mind. And, in a bid to ensure that this remains the case, Rihanna dropped some sultry images of herself chilling poolside in some of her hottest creations. Hacking some rosy red picks from her wildly popular collection, the megastar could be seen modelling a backless bodysuit, which was littered with subtle branding, and a simple-yet-statement bra. Accessorising with iridescent frames and low-hanging gold chains, Rihanna was a vision – as per.
Ariana Grade lived our her Little Mermaid fantasy
Keeping it sweet this week was Ariana Grande. Consisting of an ethereal bralette, complete with a jewel-adorned scoop neckline, fluffy sleeves and matching gloves, along with a matching skirt, the “7 Rings” singer’s princess-esque two-piece was an ode to her signature cutesy style. And, with the entire outfit washed over in a rippling aqua, turquoise and seaweed green colour palette, it left Ari looking as if she had stepped straight of The Little Mermaid.
Dua Lipa did birthday suits and lingurie
With Dua standing as the official queen of Instagram fashion, it is safe to say that followers and fans alike were expecting big things from the star’s birthday outfit – and she did not disappoint. Dressed in a navy suit, which was spotted with rainbow hues and a floral bra peeking out from underneath the boxy blazer, the singer blended sexy style and oversized silhouettes perfectly. And, in the name of dramatics, Dua paired the look with a matching fuzzy hat which was dipped in fluorescent colours. 26 really has never looked so good!
Meg Thee Stallion stepped out in her studio uniform, Telfar and puppy in hand
Meghan Thee Stallion switched gears this week, as she swapped out her bodycon dresses for causal loungewear – and, we are not mad about it. Dressed in a miniature two-piece, consisting of shorts and a zip-front shirt, the singer looked relaxed as she let us know she was “@ work”. And with an infamous Telfar Shopping Bag and drink in hand, Meg made it clear that she is thriving and taking a moment to spend time in the studio in style.
Justin Bieber mastered the art of summer fur
Regardless of your opinion on Justin Bieber, there is no denying that he is on top of his fashion game. And, thanks to his latest look, that isn’t about to change. Ensuring that he was summer-ready, Justin wore a relaxed white vest and cargo pants combo that he matched with a pair of slime green shades and pristine trainers. The star of the show, however, was an oversized caramel-coloured suede jacket that was complete with a shaggy fur lining and trim.
The Carters let us know that they dress in black-tie and look at Basquiats in their spare time
Rounding off this week’s round-up is America’s answer to royalty aka The Carters. Posing for their Tiffany & Co. campaign, Beyoncé and her husband, Jay-Z stunned in black-tie attire that consisted of floor-sweeping gowns paired with mesh 3/4 gloves and broach-adored suits. With a never-before-seen Jean-Michel Basquiat painting providing an opulent backdrop for the picture and a dazzling Tiffany jewel hanging from Beyoncé’s neck, the campaign reminded us that no one has ever, and will ever, do it quite like The Carters.
