When it comes to romance, the feeling of meeting someone that draws the best out of you is unparalleled. And, someone who knows this all too well is artist Peter Wise, who has channelled this exact feeling into his newest release “Neutral”. Boasting Peter’s pop vocals and lyrics steeped in introspection and love, the track hopes to set the heart’s of listeners alight as subtle gospel sensibilities offer a euphoric layer of sound. And, while personal tales of love are usually the sole inspiration behind most tracks, Peter’s approach to crafting this particular cut was based around the romantic and drama that laces the movie, The Spectacular Now.

“There’s a line in the movie where a man tells Miles Teller’s character that he thought a past relationship would yank him out of neutral. We’ve all had people or experiences in our lives that have this dramatic ability to shift our course for the better, and I wrote this song to focus around that concept,” explains the artist.

And, in a bid to further emphasise the track’s inspiration, Peter has also looked to his sister, Sophie Wise, and Dan Brink to craft an accompanying music video. Masterfully manipulating light to tell a tale without words, watch the artist pose in front of various intimate scenes, all of which infused with character courtesy of a grainy projector, put on an animated live performance with his band and share tender moments with a romantic partner. An ode to the power of love, the track and its music video are sure to have you feeling in a loved up mood.
