With an audience for her debut performance littered with adoring fans and the likes of megastar Prince, multi-disciplinary artist Morly made it clear that she was destined for stardom since her beginnings. And, that is not about to change as the talent unveils her latest single, “Eliogy”. As the name suggests, the song is a tragic ode to a past relationship as introspective lyrics such as “I don’t wanna feel your pain” and “I can’t bear to hurt, hurt you again” ring out. A deep whirling production and haunting backing vocals set a solemn tone for the track as Morly’s syrupy vocals enchant and transport listeners back into the depths of their own emotional turmoil.

Accompanying the track is a set of masterful one-take visuals. Watchers can expect to lock eyes with the singer and become captivated as she pulls a never-ending piece of string, which is adorned with her lyrics, out of her mouth. A testimony to the power of art, the video tells a tale of heartbreak with limited movement and props – making it all the more special.

When speaking on the music video, the songstress claims, “To me, it feels like a nod to the album title, ’Til I Start Speaking, and cover artwork. As if the drawing suddenly animated and started pulling out the words strangled up inside. I’ve also always loved Warhol’s screen tests and filmed it with those very much in mind.”
