After We Fell

Kicking off this week’s round-up is the third instalment of the lust-filled romance trilogy After. Based on the novel by Anna Todd of the same name, After We Fell promises to continue following the tumultuous relationship between Tessa and Hardin as their deeply toxic bond is put to an intense test once more as overwhelming life decisions loom. Set to have watchers on the edge of their seats and brimming with passion, the third drop of this Wattpad fantasy starring Hero Fiennes Tiffin and Josephine Langford is headed towards an explosive September release.

Sweet Girl

Action. Revenge. Love. What more could you want from a Netflix movie? A tale of a grieving widow’s quest for payback from the powers responsible for his wife’s death, Sweet Girl is the danger-packed film set for release on August 20th. Starring and produced by Jason Momoa and his on-screen daughter Isabela Merced, the movie’s trailer promises knife fights, torment and plenty of drama as the pair attempt to outrun hitmen and the law.

The Witcher season 2

To the delight of many, Henry Cavill is finally set to return for the second season of the critically-acclaimed fantasy drama The Witcher. Following on from the fall out of the Battle of Sodden Hill and the destiny-driven meeting between Geralt of Rivia and Ciri, Princess Cirilla of Cintra, season 2 promises further displays of bravery on behalf of the fluorescent-eyed monster-hunter and all of the mythical danger that was deeply adored in season 1. Ahead of its release on December 17th, fans can indulge in the scenes of wintery mountains, threatening quests and the princess’ self-discovery that lace The Witcher season 2 trailer.

Outer Banks 2

Also making a return to Netflix this year is the adventure-loving and angsty cast of Outer Banks. A modern-day Goonies, fans can expect to see the show’s band of fearless young adults falling through their treasure quest and running from the law as vengeance and answers surrounding the death of John B’s father persist upon the series release on July 30th. And as the tagline excitingly states, “the treasure belongs to the pogues” this year.

Mr. Corman

Apple TV is inviting watchers into a world filled with major anxiety, musical dreams and existential dread with their new comedy-drama series Mr. Corman. Following the tale of an unassuming yet deeply worried fifth-grade teacher, the series promises to offer a warming narrative on the highs and lows of life inside of the mind of an anxiety-prone dreamer on a quest to make something of himself. Starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, the hilarious series is set for premiere on August 6th.
