We find ourselves in the midst of another glorious Paris Fashion Week and that can only mean one thing, looks are being served. From multiple Jacquemus outfits from fresh off the runway to the likes of Kim Kardashian and Dua Lipa drawing inspiration from the fashionable festivities of the past week and turning to Instagram to offer their fans an abundance of style, head below to see some the best displays Instagram had to offer in this week’s Looks of the Week…
LOOKS OF THE WEEK
Jacquemus supremacy, tortoiseshell everything and that Paris Hilton dress: Bella Hadid, Rosalía, Kim Kardashian and Vanessa Hudgens dominate in this week’s fashion round-up.
Dua sported studded shoes and a leather vest
Kicking things off in style this week is the reigning queen of 2021 fashion, Dua Lipa. Putting on a display of all-black done best, the star’s textured leather collared vest and sheen oversized pants culminated in a highly sophisticated outfit. Paired with studded heels complete with silver detailing and a plait longer than life itself, Dua really did set the standard on Instagram this week.
Kim Kardashian did tortoiseshell at the Trevi
By now, we are all aware that Kim Kardashian has picked the streets of Rome as her catwalk this week. And, while the list of looks from Kim worthy of a mention is endless, this particular ode to tortoiseshell captured the attention of the whole of Instagram. A mini strapless bustier dress glossed over in the iconic browns and black swirls glimmered in the late-night haze fuelled by the Roman streetlights as lace-up heels, square frame sunglasses and a miniature clutch could all be seen washed over in the matching print. Choosing the iconic Trevi fountain as her backdrop and paying tribute to one of fashion’s most beloved patterns, this is a look of Kim’s that we won’t be forgetting any time soon.
Chloe Bailey set hearts racing with her chains and corset
Gracing our Looks of the Week round-up once again is singer and actress Chloe Bailey. For this week’s serve, the rising star can be seen dripping in chains and exaggerated drawstring gloves as she oozed her usual sultry vibes. A striking orange was the star’s hue of choice with contrast only provided by the subtle panelling on her sheer corset and perspex heels. An absolute tangerine dream!
Vanessa Hudgens paid tribute to 00s queen Paris Hilton
Long live the OG Paris Hilton dress! While we have seen countless celebs attempt to recreate the star’s glittering Julien MacDonald mini dress that turned her 21st birthday into an iconic moment in pop culture history, no one has paid tribute to the dress better than Vanessa Hudgens. With the same cowl neck and a hint of Paris’ daring backless moment present, Vanessa put on a sparkling display as her dress’ deep aqua sequins screamed party. We really are living in the 00s 2.0.
Bella Hadid was Jacquemus’ muse…
A majority of the fashion world descended onto the cobbled streets of Paris last week to bask in the elegance and beauty of Paris Fashion Week. And, while there were many standout names on the schedule, Jacquemus was one that stirred up volumes of chatter. For its La Montagne AW21 collection, the breakout brand called on the likes of Kendall Jenner and Adut Akech to showcase their new garments, and joining them was supermodel Bella Hadid. After taking to the runway in a striking brown getup hacked from the collection, Hadid sported the split-front tops that reigned supreme throughout the show paired with cargo pants adorned with contrasting stitching.
…and so was Rosalía
Taking the new Jacquemus collection straight to the Eiffel Tower this week was Rosalía. Sporting the latest accessory drop from the brand and a floor-length white gown with a cut-out back, the singer was a vision.
Adut Akech had us seeing green
Should you be looking for the perfect summer ‘fit, Adut Akech is offering up some inspiration. Sporting a grassy green bandeau dress complete with ribbed detailing, the dress was simple yet effective. But, in true model style, Adut’s outfit found elevation in a pair of wide-framed green racer-esque glasses with psychedelic hues washed across the lenses.
Gigi Hadid made a case for contrasting textures
Joining her sister in this week’s round-up is Gigi Hadid. Continuing on with Bella and Dua Lipa’s all-black theme, the model and new mother played with texture as the glassy sequins adorning her asymmetrical top were met with matte black leather pants complete with silhouette-enhancing pleats in a truly complementary manner. With understated silver earrings and an exaggerated ring detailed belt also featuring, this is a look we will definitely be recreating.
