When thinking of Louis Vuitton, the mind wonders to the unparalleled flair, iconic monograms and fine French craftsmanship that adorn every seamless offering from the brand. So, upon a staggering milestone such as its bicentenary, it is only right that the beloved fashion house marks the occasion with a display synonymous with their ethos. And, this is exactly what they have done as Louis Vuitton reveals its Bravery High Jewellery collection.
Turning to the illustrious beggings of the maison, which saw a young Louis Vuitton using innovative design ideas to craft sumptuous luggage since 1821, heritage trickles into every crevice of the collection. Comprised of 90 opulent designs, the collection boasts sapphires and rubies, some of which are the result of years of global searching, along with ice-white diamonds and precious silver metals. Designer Francesca Amfitheatrof has ensured that each piece is an ode to the Louis Vuitton aesthetic as the subtle silhouettes of the Monogram flower can be seen carefully placed amongst pristine jewels that have been manipulated into deeply intricate and newly imagined designs such as The Arrow, La Constellation d’Hercule and L’ Aventure.
